St Mary’s Surgery strives to provide fair, accessible General Practitioner services for our patients and visitors. We strongly believe that everyone who utilises our services should receive a high level of patient care and receive the same treatment and services irrespective of age, sex, marital status, pregnancy, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, medical condition, religion or belief. All patients and visitors will be treated with dignity and respect at all times.
We have a zero tolerance towards any level of discrimination towards our patients, visitors or staff.
If you feel you have experienced any level of discrimination:
- We advise that you discuss your concerns with our Practice Manager Stacey Antill.
- She will meet with you to establish your concerns and will undertake a thorough investigation to address your concerns professionally and confidentially.
- We aim to provide you with a detailed outcome of the investigation within fourteen working days.
- If you are unsatisfied with the outcome of the investigation, we advise that you raise a formal complaint following our Practice complaints procedure.
Any discrimination or harassment towards our staff will be taken very seriously and will not be tolerated. Patients or visitors who display such behaviors will be required to leave the Practice premises immediately. Patients or visitors may also be removed from our Practice register; this decision will be at the discretion of our GP partners and Practice Manager.
